Who is entitled to free NHS dental treatment?

You’ll be entitled to free dental treatment if you:

Are under the age of 26
Expecting a baby
Had a baby in the last 12 months
Have a valid HC2 certificate

If you qualify, contact us on 01355 302 440 to discuss your free dental treatment.

You may be entitled to the HC2 exemption if you receive a very low income, and you or your partner receive:

Income based job seekers allowance
Income related employment support allowance
Income Support
Valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate

If you do not receive any of the above exemptions then you are entitled to pay for your NHS dental treatment.

What treatment can I have under the NHS?

The NHS covers clinically necessary treatments. These include:

Yearly exams
Radiographs
Amalgam fillings
Scale and Polish
White fillings on front teeth

Crowns/Bridges
Veneers
Root Canal Treatment
Extractions
Dentures

What treatment am I not allowed under the NHS?

Dental treatment considered as cosmetic work is not covered under the NHS. Treatments such as:

White fillings on back teeth
All porcelain crown & bridges
Orthodontic treatment
Tooth whitening
